SMG is adapting its technology to wider areas where we can apply gravity to solve real world problems beyond oil and gas.

This includes non-reservoir subsurface / near-surface applications such as carbon storage monitoring, monitoring groundwater depletion, discovery of underwater aquifers, monitoring other processes underpinning the hydrological cycle, early-warning systems for earthquake-prone zones or for areas impacted by volcanic activity. We see a clear potential application in geotechnical/civil engineering monitoring ground movement and cavity detection and in mining engineering.
