Silicon Microgravity Limited (SMG) ) is a privately held company based in Waterbeach, just north of Cambridge, UK. Our purpose is to solve complex challenges and create value through the application of gravity and motion detection, responsibly.

Our technology has the ability of capturing gravitational and motion data at sensitivities not easily or economically achievable with traditional technology. It has applications across a large range of areas including inertial navigation for robotics, autonomous vehicles, aerospace defence, monitoring for space, civil engineering, and security. It is a platform technology.

We are a multi-disciplinary team of scientists and engineers working on challenges at the forefront of science in order to deliver high accuracy MEMS motion sensors and greater accuracy MEMS gravity sensors.

Over 10 years of research has gone into getting us to where we are today. We are at the global forefront of developing gravity sensors and are gaining international attention for our accelerometer and gyroscope developments.
